All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary KC Venugopal met different leaders of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee last Wednesday and Thursday and discussed many issues. He said, ‘I am happy that all the leaders here are ready to fight the elections with full strength and we will win. We held a meeting of the Political Affairs Committee yesterday. The meeting with DCC presidents lasted for four hours. We also held meetings with current MLAs and former MLAs.
He further said, ‘The people of Uttarakhand are disappointed with the BJP government, they are angry. They want that the government should be changed in the state and together with the people we will bring change here. The youth of Uttarakhand are troubled by unemployment and are migrating. In such a situation, the question is, what has the BJP government done in 10 years to reduce unemployment and stop migration? Corruption is also a big problem. Even BJP MLAs say that commission is taken here and the CM himself is promoting it. The Congress party will contest the elections with all these issues, because we stand with the people and youth here.
KC Venugopal said that the Congress party will fight the Uttarakhand assembly elections unitedly without any differences and we will achieve a decisive victory. Under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, CPP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, we will win the upcoming elections in the state.
What was said about NEET paper leak?
Regarding NEET paper leak and irregularities in CBSE, AICC General Secretary said that this is a big issue. He said that ‘Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is coming to Dehradun on July 17 to raise the voice of students. Question papers have been leaked on a large scale. Uttarakhand has now become known for paper leak scams. Therefore, the Congress party will raise this issue on a very big level in the coming elections. We are forming a manifesto committee and they will travel across the state and collect issues from common people, including farmers, women and students. Then we will prepare a strong and comprehensive manifesto for Uttarakhand.
Accused regarding theft of Ram temple offering
KC Venugopal also talked about Ram Temple and said that ‘a big theft has taken place in Ram Temple. Who is responsible for this theft of donations? The Ram Mandir Trust was formed under the supervision of the Prime Minister of India. Lakhs of people donated to the temple out of faith. For the last 20 years, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), BJP and RSS have been collecting money from people for Ram Temple.
He asked, ‘Why is the Prime Minister not answering the questions raised by the Congress and the people of India? Why is the Prime Minister silent on this issue? Why are you not ordering an investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court? He alleged that the Modi government wants to save those who have committed this theft.
