Almost a month has passed since the formation of the new government in West Bengal. The cabinet has not been fully formed yet. Till now only 5 ministers have taken oath. Which includes Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Nishith Pramanik, Ashok Kirtania and Khudiram Tudu. The remaining ministerial posts are still vacant. However, now talks are going on regarding cabinet expansion. According to sources, the state cabinet may be expanded on Monday.
According to sources, there can be a total of 33 members in the cabinet. Many names are being discussed in the possible list of new ministers. In which Swapan Dasgupta’s name is running at number one. Swapan may get an important ministerial post. Senior BJP leader Swapan Dasgupta is MLA from Rash Bihari. There is discussion in political circles that he may be given some important responsibility in the cabinet. At the same time, Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has already given him the responsibility of the education department. In such a situation, informed sources believe that Swapan Dasgupta can be made the Education Minister.
Know which leaders can get ministerial post
BJP MLA Tapas Roy may also get a ministerial post. This time the experienced politician has won from Maniktala assembly constituency. After the formation of the new government, he took over the charge of acting president. He is conducting the proceedings of the Assembly till the election of the new Speaker. He has also administered oath to the new MLAs. According to BJP sources, this time he may be given some important ministerial post.
The list of probable cabinet ministers also includes Shankar Ghosh, Rudranil Ghosh, Sharadwat Tudu, Pranat Tudu, Rupa Gangopadhyay, Kalyan Chakraborty, Chandana Bauri, Jagannath Chatterjee, Ashok Dinda and Subrata Maitra. However, it is not known who will be the minister.
Agnimitra Paul and Dilip have these departments
It is noteworthy that till now the charge of five departments has been divided. Dilip Ghosh has been made the minister of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Animal Husbandry Development Department and Agricultural Marketing Department. Agnimitra Paul has been made the Minister of Women and Child Welfare and Urban and Rural Development. Whereas, Nishit Pramanik has been given the charge of North Bengal Development and Sports Department. Ashok Kirtaniya has been given the charge of the food department. Khudiram Tudu has been made the Minister of Backward Class Welfare and Minority Affairs Department.
