
Before the monsoon session of Maharashtra Assembly starts from Monday, the politics of the state has heated up. In this context, a press conference of Mahavikas Aghadi was organized on Sunday. Shiv Sena Thackeray group leader Ambadas Danve, Bhaskar Jadhav, NCP Sharad Pawar group leader Jayant Patil and other leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi were present in this press conference. The opposition has boycotted the government’s tea party on Sunday evening before the monsoon session.
Shiv Sena Thackeray group leader Bhaskar Jadhav launched a scathing attack on the government. He also said that we have boycotted the government’s tea party.
Bhaskar Jadhav said that this year Maharashtra is facing El Nino crisis. The government has already given information about this, the government has also said that Maharashtra may have to face drought, but what preparations has the government made so far in view of El Nino? Bhaskar Jadhav has said that this government has gone much further than improving the functioning.
Government failed on public issues
He said that no farmer in the state is getting guaranteed price for his crop. The government may say everywhere that we have waived off loans up to Rs 2 lakh, but the problems of the farmers remain the same. Bhaskar Jadhav also said that when Uddhav Thackeray was the Chief Minister, he had waived the loans, then no farmer had complained about the loan waiver.
Jayant Patil first raised the issue of deepening water crisis in the state. He said that there is a serious water problem in many districts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, but the government has completely failed to deal with this crisis. He also raised the issue of increasing debt of farmers and problems in the agriculture sector and accused the government of ignoring the farmers.

The opposition also put the government in the dock regarding the growing drug network. Jayant Patil said that today it is difficult to name any district in Maharashtra where drug trade has not reached. He called it a big failure of law and order and administration.
MVA leaders alleged that the state government has failed to respond to basic issues of public concern. The opposition made it clear that all these issues will be raised strongly in the monsoon session. Besides, Mahavikas Aghadi also announced boycott of the traditional tea party of the government.
Maharashtra’s monsoon session is starting from June 22 and the opposition has indicated that issues like water crisis, plight of farmers, drugs and law and order will be raised prominently in the House.
