Nitish Bhaluni said in an interview given to TCX Official, “I had come to know that auditions were going on for the role of Tappu for one and a half years, Tappu was not there. The casting team had also approached my friend for the role of Tappu. That friend of mine is older than me. So I thought why would they cast me when they are asking an actor 5-6 years older than me for this role. So at that time I “Didn’t go for the audition.”

Nitish further said, “When the auditions started again after 6 months, I felt that Tappu had not been found yet. So I thought let’s see and at least do the audition.” He said that after the audition he called his mother and told her that hetaarak mehta ka ulta chaAudition has taken place for ‘Shama’. His mother asked when will they call now. So he told his mother that it does not happen so soon, then his mother said that no, no, you will get a call.
The meeting took place and the finals were finalized.
After two days he again got a call for the next round. When he told his mother again, his mother said that you will get a call for the next round also. And that’s exactly what happened. He was called again for the next round after two days.
