‘Food Vlogging’ in hunger strike; Aayush Sapra did food review near the stage of Sonam Wangchuk, who had lost 8 kg weight, created an uproar over the video.

Holding the plate of food prepared for the volunteers and protesters gathered there, he says in a joking tone – Here we have chickpea curry. The loaves have run out because the demand is very high. Only Sonam ji is hungry, everyone else is eating to his heart’s content. Not only this, in the video he was also seen joking with the people present there. Looking at him at one place, it seems as if he is teasing Sonam Wangchuk by showing her samosas and red-green chutney.

People said- serious issue, poor content

People are furious over such a light food review on the hunger strike platform of a serious personality like Sonam Wangchuk. Social media users say that this is an insult to the youth of the country and the sacrifice of an elder who is fighting for social issues.

One user sarcastically wrote, after hearing the news of the hunger strike, only a food vlogger can go straight to see what is on the menu today. Another user expressed his anger and said, Sonam Wangchuk’s weight has decreased by more than 8 kg And this brother goes there and says ‘the taste has arrived’. They have even made fun of the protest site. Another person said, we are living in a very insensitive era, where someone is risking his life for the country and people are going there and making reels and memes. Another user wrote, serious issue, poor content.

Was the food vlog really wrong?

However, not everyone is criticizing food vlogger Ayush Sapra. There is a section on the internet which has come out in his support. Supporters argue that it is a normal thing to have langar or food arrangements for volunteers, security personnel and media persons coming to any major movement or protest. Some people also believe that through this fun food vlog, the message of this serious movement reached at least those youth who usually stay away from political news.

Sonam Wangchuk’s condition is worrying

On one hand, there is a war on social media over this video, on the other hand, it has been more than two weeks since Sonam Wangchuk’s fast at Jantar Mantar. According to doctors, due to constant hunger his weight has fallen by more than 8 kg and his health remains very critical.
