Stolen from Florida to Kansas City
According to British media reports, the England team was camping in Florida before the start of the tournament. After completing this camp, the team left from Florida for the ‘Swope Soccer Village’ base camp in Kansas City. But while the players reached without any problem, a vehicle carrying their luggage was targeted by thieves.
When this vehicle reached Kansas City, everyone was surprised. Many important items like customized match boots, official match balls, training kits of the players present in this vehicle were missing. It has been said in the reports that out of all the goods sent in that vehicle, only one football was left.
What action has the police taken so far?
In this case, Kansas City Police immediately started investigation and made some arrests. According to the information, Kansas Police spokesperson said that the investigation of the case is going on rapidly and till now two suspects have been detained. The Football Association (FA), the governing body of English football, is also engaged in the recovery of the goods in collaboration with the legal agencies of Kansas.
When is England’s first match?
England, present in Group-L, has to play its first match against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, June 17 (June 18 in India).
