Director Anik Dutta Death: A sad news has come out from Bengali cinema. National Award winning director Anik Dutta passed away at the age of 58. He breathed his last in a hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday. According to the information, he fell down from the sixth floor of his residence in Gariahat. He suffered serious injuries. He was immediately taken to the hospital. However, his life could not be saved. He said goodbye to this world. He died due to falling from the roof.
After the incident, the Homicide Department of Lal Bazar Police Headquarters immediately reached the spot to investigate the case. Investigation of the matter is ongoing. Anik Dutta was a big name of Bengali cinema. He was working as a director in Bengali cinema for the last 14 years. He directed very few films in his career, but all his films were highly appreciated. It is being told that it is not possible to conduct his post-mortem today i.e. on 27th May. In such a situation, his post-mortem will be done on May 28.

Anik Dutta started his career as a director in the year 2012 through the film Bhooter Bhabishyat. This was a horror-comedy film. This film got very good response. He not only directed this film but also wrote its story. After this he has directed the films Astonishing Lamp, Meghnad Badh Rahasya, Bhobishyoter Bhoot, Borunbabur Bandhu, Aparajito, Joto kando Kolkata.

Apart from directing these films, he also worked as a lyricist in Astonishing Lamp. Apart from being a director, he also worked as a lyricist and playback singer in Aparajito. This film also won the National Award in the year 2022. However, due to the demise of Anik Dutta, there is a wave of mourning in the film industry. The Homicide Department is investigating the case.
