The students’ movement at Jantar Mantar in Delhi is continuously gaining momentum. People have started gathering in large numbers. But opposition parties are also intensifying their protest regarding the paper leak issue and the demand for resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. But amid this movement, strategist turned leader Prashant Kishore is still maintaining distance from Jantar Mantar. But where are the teenagers busy right now?
Bankipur assembly by-elections are being held in Bihar. Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore himself is presenting his claim from this seat. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Naveen was the MLA from Bankipur seat, but after going to Rajya Sabha recently, he left the MLA, due to which by-election is being held on this seat. Voting will be held in Bankipur on 30th July and counting will take place on 3rd August.
PK in political arena for the first time
Prashant Kishor himself is contesting from this seat for the first time in a political contest, hence he has focused his entire attention on Bankipur. To taste his first political victory, Kishore has now started taking the support of students.
Kishor, who had been maintaining distance from Jantar Mantar, met some students injured in lathi charge during the protest in Patna on Wednesday. Some of the students injured during lathicharge on students are residents of Bankipur assembly constituency.

Kishore himself is linking the lathi charge in Patna with the Bankipur elections. The party says that the answer to lathi charge on students will be BJP’s defeat in Bankipur. An injured student present on Kishore’s stage said that many students were injured in the lathicharge. His hands and legs have been broken. Many people have been injured. Now we do not want to make the BJP government, we want to spoil it.
Students will definitely ask for resignation: Kishor
Another student said that if you people are still in the trap of BJP then you people should not do this. Make Prashant Kishore win from Bankipur seat. Don’t let BJP win otherwise it will ruin you.
Regarding lathi charge, Prashant Kishore said, “If you get children killed. The children and their parents who have voted for Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, they will definitely ask for resignation. The youth have also asked for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. If you are not trying to remove him. If you are not taking action against the education mafia or are not doing anything on the paper leak, then if you save the culprits, then the youth will definitely go against the government.”
He further said, “This demonstration did not happen only at Jantar Mantar but took place in every corner of the country. Our countrymen are now talking that the way the students were beaten up, its impact will be visible in Bankipur. It will be visible in Bengaluru. It will be visible in Kerala and it will also be visible in Gujarat.”
Kishor maintained distance from Jantar Mantar, but as the date of voting for the by-election is approaching, the movement is gaining momentum. Strategist-turned-politician Kishor feels that the student movement is creating an atmosphere against BJP, perhaps this is why he is eyeing setting his political atmosphere by bringing students in his election campaign.
