Explosive situation in PoK, 30 dead so far, 200 injured; Great battle tomorrow in Muzaffarabad

June 10, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Pak atrocities in PoK: Anti-Pakistan movement is becoming increasingly fierce in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). More than 30 people have died so far in the violent clashes between protesters and security forces, while about 200 people are said to be injured. The situation is continuously worsening and tension has reached its peak in the entire region.

Tension in the area further increased when the administration banned the prominent civil society organization Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC). This organization has been running a movement for a long time on issues related to economic crisis, inflation, increase in electricity rates and political rights. Meanwhile, the long march announced by the Joint Awami Action Committee is scheduled to reach Muzaffarabad on June 11.

Protestors marching towards Muzaffarabad

Due to this, thousands of protesters from different areas of PoK are marching towards Muzaffarabad. Pakistani administration and security agencies are seen taking action on a large scale to stop the movement. Amidst the worsening situation, shutdown strike continues in the entire area. The administration has also blocked communication services after deadly clashes between protesters and security forces in Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad. People are facing serious problems due to communication blackout.

The situation remains very tense. Hundreds of people have taken to the streets in anti-Pakistan protests, while complete shutdown continues in Bhimbar, Kotli and many other cities. Public anger has increased further after the death of seven civilians in the violent clashes on Sunday night.

According to local sources, direct clashes have taken place between protesters and Pakistani security forces in many areas of PoK. The protesters allege that force is being used to crush the movement. Some local organizations have also alleged that women and children have also been targeted during the action. However, these claims could not be independently confirmed.

Tension in the area after violent protests

The protesters say that their democratic demands are being suppressed, while the Pakistani administration is taking strict action in the name of maintaining law and order. The action being taken by Pakistani authorities against civilians is also being criticized at the international level. Additional security forces have been deployed in the area and the situation is being constantly monitored.

Meanwhile, the long march moving towards Muzaffarabad is being considered as the biggest show of strength of the movement. The large population of PoK has now turned this protest into a mass movement. In such a situation, the situation is expected to become more sensitive in the coming days.
