Rakesh Bedi has expressed his concern about water pollution and has given an example to explain how when humans spread garbage, it harms nature and when nature reacts, how that garbage comes back to us. Through a video, he has not only talked about water pollution, but has also mentioned the plastic waste recently accumulated in Juhu and Dadar beaches of Mumbai.
The amount of plastic waste in the ocean has increased so much that it is harming even the marine creatures. During the monsoon season, when there are high waves in the sea, a lot of this waste automatically gets washed away and gets collected on the shore. Which shows that whatever you give to nature, it returns the same to it. Now Rakesh Bedi has recently reacted on the garbage collected on Mumbai beach.
What did Rakesh Bedi say?
Rakesh Bedi shared the video and said, “Friends, do you think that only humans belch, the sea also belches. Right now the ocean has done two big belches in Mumbai, one on Juhu beach and one on Dadar beach and in both the belches, thousands of tonnes of plastic that was inside it, the dirt that was inside it, has been spit out. Just like when we cannot digest something, we spit it out. Similarly, the ocean will not be able to digest the plastic. He spit it all out and Samandar said, ‘Take it brother, it’s your ass, take care of it’.”
Do not carry plastic near water sources
Further he said, “Friends, we should make a rule that carrying plastic near any water body (water source like river, sea, pond, well) should not be allowed. If you think what I am saying is right, then please forward it, otherwise we will keep throwing it in the sea and the sea will keep throwing it back out, then we will have to dispose of it somewhere, that is, what we have not done before, we will do now.”
