He said that even if this property is completely demolished today, he will not give orders. The Supreme Court said that the petitioners should first approach the concerned High Court.

The petitioner’s lawyer had requested the court to hear the case on the same day. The lawyer said that the concerned officials are taking action to demolish the property, even though there is an approved building plan for the construction, despite this the officials are taking action.

what is the matter

The lawyer told the Supreme Court that the property was said to be built in the pond area, but there was an approved plan for it. He said that the officials allege that the property has been constructed on the pond land, but it is not so. He said that the building has been constructed as per the duly approved plan.

What did CJI Surya Kant say?

However, Chief Justice Surya Kant refused to hear the case immediately and grant any kind of interim protection. He said that ‘even if it is completely demolished today, I will not do so’. He clarified that the Supreme Court will not consider this matter in the first instance.

Supreme Court expressed displeasure

Chief Justice Surya Kant asked the petitioner to approach the High Court and expressed displeasure over the habit of parties bypassing the High Court and directly approaching the Supreme Court to seek immediate relief.
