Openers disappointed, middle order took charge

In the third T20, England won the toss and put India to bat first. Indian openers – Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma – could not give a good start to their team in this match also. Mandhana could not even touch double figures. Whereas Shefali Verma scored 11 runs. However, the middle order showed good hands, due to which Team India managed to score 180 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. The most successful batsman from India’s side was its captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who scored unbeaten 56 runs in 40 balls. Yastika Bhatia scored 32, Jemimah Rodrigues scored 29 and Deepti Sharma also scored 32 runs.
