
Encounter continues between security forces and terrorists in Gambhir Mughal, Dorimal area of Rajouri district of Jammu. Today is the fourth day of the encounter. The first direct encounter of security forces with 2 to 3 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists took place on Saturday, after which continuous search and combing operations are going on in the entire area. According to sources, there was firing between terrorists and security forces on Monday afternoon also.
After this the terrorists ran towards the dense forests and hid. Now security forces have surrounded the entire area of Dorimal and a large-scale search operation is being conducted. Along with helicopters, drones, Indian Army soldiers, teams of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police are also deployed in the operation. The security forces are busy carrying out the operation by surrounding the terrorists.
Army, police and CRPF team laid siege
During the search operation at the place where the encounter took place yesterday, some suspicious items and traces of blood have been found. Due to this, it is feared that some terrorist may have been injured in the firing and is hiding in the forest. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
On the fourth day of the ongoing Operation Sheruwali in the Gambhir Mughlan-Dorimal area of Rajouri, the security forces have intensified the operation. According to reports, now helicopters and Para Commandos have also been deployed in the operation. Commando teams are being landed through helicopters in those high and dense forest areas, where direct contact was made with the terrorists yesterday afternoon and weapons and other suspicious items were found during the search operation. According to sources, 2 to 3 terrorists are suspected to be hiding in the area. Joint teams of Army, Police and CRPF have cordoned off the entire area, while drones and aerial surveillance have also been increased so that the terrorists cannot escape by taking advantage of the forest and mountain paths. The operation is continuing continuously.
