
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday announced the release of guidelines for the grand scheme ‘Bharat Industrial Development Scheme’. Under this scheme, the central government is planning to create 100 industrial parks across the country. Addressing a press briefing, Piyush Goyal said that the scheme, with a budget of Rs 33,660 crore, aims to create manufacturing and investment hubs through plug-and-play industrial parks in collaboration with state governments.

The Union Minister said that with the release of the guidelines of the grand scheme today, another big step is being taken in the direction of ease of doing business. Under this, the Government of India will create 100 industrial parks across the country. He told that this scheme had got approval from the Union Cabinet about two months ago. He further said that the Bharat Industrial Development Scheme with a budget of Rs 33,660 crore will create new centers of investment and manufacturing by creating plug-and-play investment parks in collaboration with state governments.
The work will be completed in steps
According to the Union Minister, the Central Government hopes that the State Governments will create a good environment to promote industrial development. Piyush Goyal said that we hope that the state governments will provide a better and attractive environment to promote industries. He also gave information about the plan to implement this scheme and said that 20 industrial parks will be included in its first phase. He said that in the first phase, we will start 20 parks in the first window of two months and 30 more parks in the next two months.
