
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav today reviewed the work of the Tribal Department. He said that organic farming should be encouraged in the tribal areas of the state. Organic farming is also being done by tribal farmers in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. A team should be sent from Madhya Pradesh to study it. The Chief Minister said that the quality of education and living conditions should be improved in the schools, ashrams and hostels run by the Tribal Affairs Department. Also seek cooperation from social service organizations for the preservation of traditional social values and overall development in tribal areas.
CM Mohan Yadav Said that various departments of the government should work together in the tribal area. Development of public facilities should be ensured through convergence. Promote animal husbandry in the tribal society and seek their cooperation in increasing milk production. In the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave instructions to work continuously for the overall development of the special backward tribes of the state, Baiga, Bharia and Saharia.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the department to do necessary work to improve the quality of education. It was told in the meeting that 7 tribal districts are included among the best 10 districts in the High School and Higher Secondary Examination Results 2026. From December 2023 till now, scholarship worth Rs 137 crore 52 lakh has been paid to a total of 3 lakh 65 thousand students of classes 9 and 10 of tribal category.
During the same period, an amount of Rs 673 crore 64 lakh has been paid to 4 lakh 28 thousand students under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme. 2671 hostels and ashram schools are being run by the department.
