A day before this, the American diplomatic assistance center located in Baghdad International Airport was also attacked by two drones. This was the second attack in two consecutive days. Attacks on neighboring countries did not take place from our soil: Iraq

Amidst these incidents, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi said that no evidence has been found to prove that the attacks on Gulf countries were carried out from Iraqi soil. He said that the government will not under any circumstances allow Iraq’s land to be used to attack neighboring countries. He said that clear instructions have been given to all security agencies that no armed group can use Iraq’s border for attacks.

Zaidi also said that Iraq will not act under any pressure from either the East or the West. Only the people of Iraq will take the country’s decisions. The Prime Minister said that Iraq wants good relations with the world and neighboring countries. After his visit to America, he is also scheduled to visit Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Iran.

In February, America and Israel attacked Tehran. According to Iranian officials, more than 3,000 people were killed in these attacks. In response, Iran launched drone and missile attacks on Israel and the Gulf countries where American military bases are located. Since then, Iraq has also become an important center of increasing tension in West Asia.
