According to this report, National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) has sent a notification of Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF) to Gaurav, who comes from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, in which he has been informed that a banned substance has been found in his test. It has been told in the report that his sample was taken during a shooting tournament held between April-May, which was tested to contain propranolol and its related 4-hydroxy-propranolol, which prevents the heartbeat.

However, NADA has not yet imposed any ban on Gaurav and he is still allowed to participate in shooting tournaments, but NRAI has already taken this precautionary step to remove the possibility of any kind of danger in the games.
