July 9, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Delhi drowned in the rain, Maharashtra is flowing, mountains are breaking in Uttarakhand and Himachal. The streets have become swamps. Roads have become oceans and the lives of crores of people have been left at the mercy of randomly flowing water. At some places gas cylinders are seen flowing in the river, at some places bikes and cars are sinking into the ground and at some places water has entered the houses. Suddenly a part of the mountain broke and came on the road in Pangi, Himachal Pradesh. The situation is miserable due to rain in the entire country.

Delhi The roads turn into rivers within a few hours of rain. Life goes off track in Maharashtra. In Himachal and Uttarakhand, mountains crack and people’s dreams are buried under debris.

There was a claim that Delhi would be transformed into Paris and London, but just a few hours of rain turned Delhi into Venice. Roads in many VIP areas are knee-deep in water today. The drainage system is completely choked and millions of people have become hostage.

Situation is bad due to rain from Mumbai to Delhi

Every year in Mumbai, BMC spends thousands of crores of rupees in the name of cleaning drainage, but the city of the country looks helpless in heavy rains. When this helplessness of the plains reaches the mountains, it becomes a horrifying scene of devastation and experts are continuously saying this. Water will make you cry even more. This is a big warning for the future. In just a few days of rain, big cities of India are being washed away, drowned, washed away and turning into lakes.

First of all, let’s talk about Vasundhara in Ghaziabad, where due to heavy rain, the car parked on the road suddenly got parked in the underworld. When the picture went viral on social media, barricading was done here.

The second picture is of Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad, where swimming pools have been built on the roads. The situation is such that people have two options, either swimming or rowing a boat. There is a lot of water accumulated on NH-24 near Indirapuram. Water is entering people’s vehicles, while pedestrians are waist-deep in water.

Rain worsened the situation, roads became rivers

After Ghaziabad and Noida, the condition of Delhi is also similar. Many places in Sangam Vihar, Delhi were flooded. The vehicles were seen submerged. Rain water filled the buses in Jahangirpuri. However, there is no picture of water filling from Minto Road yet.

A 4-storey under-construction building collapsed amid heavy rains in Delhi’s Rohini Sector-16. 3 people died in this accident. Many people trapped under the debris were rescued and rescued safely by the rescue team. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta herself was seen inspecting many places.

Going a little further from Delhi-NCR, Aligarh and Meerut also received heavy rain today, due to which many parts of the city were submerged in water. Rain water entered a hospital in Meerut. Hospital staff were seen removing water with wipers.

rain became a disaster

After rain in Mathura-Vrindavan, the main road of Banke Bihari temple was filled with water. Devotees are forced to cross dirty water to have darshan. Water entered the shops here also. Rivers are in spate due to rain in Saharanpur, UP. Local people saved the bike riders who were swept away in the strong current of water.

Car Drowned After Rain

The havoc of rain.

There were no pictures of flooded roads from Gurugram today, but the entire balcony of a high-rise building collapsed due to heavy rains. It is a matter of relief that no one was present there at that time, otherwise imagine what would have happened if someone had been enjoying tea and pakodas in that balcony during this rainy season.

Thousands of cylinders washed away in water

After leaving Delhi-NCR, let’s go to Maharashtra, where today about 3 thousand gas cylinders got washed away in water. The gas cylinder coming after crossing thousands of kilometers of sea could not cross the Patalganga river of Raigarh.

This case is of Panvel tehsil of Raigarh district of Maharashtra. Here there was a sudden flood in the Patalganga river, due to which water entered the HPCL Patalganga LPG bottling plant. Due to this, about 3 thousand cylinders were washed away in water. A crowd of people gathered to see the cylinders floating in the river. Some people immediately got into the water and started taking the cylinder out with them.

Although, this can be very dangerous, but people in India like to loot free things, so they do not care much about the dangers. Officials have appealed to people not to touch or collect any cylinders found downstream of the river. They say that there may be gas in the cylinders, which is dangerous.

rain spoils surat

Now let’s talk about Surat. The continuous rain has spoiled its appearance. Surat has received 400 mm of rain in the last 2 days, due to which everything from residential areas to markets have been submerged. Many main roads of the city have turned into rivers, while cars, bikes, trucks, tractors, BRTS bus stands and petrol pumps are submerged in several feet of water. The situation is so serious that NDRF and fire brigade teams are continuously carrying out relief operations through boats. So far, more than 300 people have been evacuated safely, while the fire brigade alone has rescued more than 176 people.

About 100 textile markets of the city have been submerged in the rain. Sarees and dress materials worth crores of rupees kept in the basement have been ruined. Losses worth thousands of crores are being claimed. Due to heavy rains, roads are sinking in the plain areas of the country, while landslides are happening in the hilly areas.

Life in trouble due to landslide

Suddenly a part of the mountain broke and came on the road in Pangi, Himachal Pradesh. It was a matter of relief that no vehicle was passing there during this period.

Landslide occurred in Tehri, Uttarakhand. After the mountain cracked, the debris came down. In this, an old vacant building was razed to the ground. Shopkeepers were evacuated from there even before the landslide. A landslide occurred on Vaishno Devi Marg, after which autos with batteries have been banned. However, pedestrians are not being stopped from moving.
