
There is a controversy going on over alleged irregularities in donations in the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust located in Ayodhya. Amidst this controversy, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has raised questions on the membership of the Trust of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Digvijay Singh While talking to the media on Thursday, he said that we all have donated to the Ram temple. We are surprised what kind of corruption has taken place. Like crores of people for the construction of Ram temple, he is also worried about the allegations of alleged corruption.
Expressing surprise, he said that the information has come that the Chief Election Commissioner of the country is a member of the Trust. After this statement of the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, the political debate regarding Ram Mandir Trust and the controversy related to it has intensified.
Questions raised on Gyanesh Kumar’s membership
Digvijay Singh said while talking to the media that the people who donated money for the construction of Ram Temple are completely surprised by what kind of corruption is going on there.
They said thatWe are also seeing that Gyanesh Kumar is a member of the trust, the person who is now a member or chairman of the Election Commission of India is still a member of that trust. This is also a matter of concern.
SIT formed to investigate alleged allegations
A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed by the Uttar Pradesh government to investigate the alleged misappropriation of donation money in the Ram temple in Ayodhya. TM recently visited the temple premises as part of its investigation. The team entered the temple premises from Gate No. 11 and is said to have collected documents related to the case.
The SIT is being led by Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, while Lucknow Range Police Inspector General (IG) Kiran S and Special Secretary in the Finance Department Neelratan Kumar are the other members of the team.
The team has been instructed to submit the preliminary report within seven days and the final report within 15 days. This allegation came to light about a week ago, when people’s investigation intensified, due to which the Trust had to request the government for a formal investigation, after which the state government ordered an SIT investigation.
