Donation theft is an organized crime, MCOCA should be imposed on the culprits… Congress leader Pramod Tiwari

July 9, 2026 by Uma Shankar

The matter regarding theft of donations in Ram temple of Ayodhya is continuously heated. The opposition is continuously attacking regarding donation theft and questions are also being raised on the SIT investigation in the offering case. Akhilesh Yadav termed the SIT formed to investigate the case as a cover-up, while Congress MP Pramodi Tiwari said that this is organized theft and MCOCA should be imposed on the culprits in this case.

Congress MP and Rajya Sabha deputy leader Pramod Tiwari said on donation theft, “It is completely organized. An organized gang is working behind it. First they steal the donation and they take it out and the same organized gang deposits that money in the accounts of relatives. Then black is converted into white by the same gang. This is not an ordinary crime. This is an organized crime and has been done by an organized gang.”

‘…then how can Champat Rai escape unscathed’

He said, “The trust of crores of devotees has been broken and the money of their faith has been looted. Who hired these robbers? Champat Rai and the people associated with the trust. How can Champat Rai escape unscathed? All this is happening right under his nose. His people are doing it. How can he escape?” He asked the state government to give such a lesson to the culprits of this case so that no one can do this against Hindu temples in future.

SIT cover up on donation theft: Akhilesh Yadav

Earlier, Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav once again targeted the government on donation theft. Raising questions on the SIT team formed to investigate the case, Akhilesh said, “SIT is a whitewash, it has been heard that questions have been raised on SIT also, a case under section 420 is going on against one member. All this is a fight between Delhi and Lucknow.”
