After the defeat in West Bengal elections, the dissatisfaction of Trinamool Congress leaders has started coming out openly. On Friday, TMC MLA Ritabrata Banerjee met state Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari at Banga Bhawan in Delhi. However, after the meeting, former Trinamool MP Ritabrata Banerjee said that on Friday he suddenly met Subhendu Adhikari. Courtesy were also exchanged.
Shubhendu Adhikari Came to Delhi for the first time on Friday after becoming the Chief Minister of West Bengal. There he also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trinamool MLA Ritabrata Banerjee met him at the old Banga Bhavan in Delhi. The Chief Minister was also seen placing his hand on his shoulder and talking to him. Delhi’s Resident Commissioner Dushmant Nariwala was with Shubhendu Adhikari. Ritabrata Banerjee said that he met the Chief Minister suddenly.
But the question arises that why did the Trinamool MLA go to Bangabhavan? He said that his term as MP in Rajya Sabha had ended in the beginning of April. After that, a bungalow was allotted in his name for a month, i.e. till May 3. That term is over. The results of the assembly elections in the state were declared on May 4.
TMC MLA gave this reason for visiting Delhi
Uluberia East MLA Ritabrata said that due to all these reasons he could not go to Delhi for the announcement of election results and then taking oath as MLA. According to the rules, if the government bungalow is not vacated even after the end of the term, then extra rent has to be paid. Ritabrata said that he had gone to Delhi to pay the rent.
Apart from this, his aim was also to get a regular passport by surrendering his diplomatic passport. When he was a Rajya Sabha MP, he had a diplomatic passport. Now he is an MLA. Diplomatic passports are not given to MLAs. Ritabrata said that after completing all the work he went to the old Bangabhaban for lunch. There he met the Chief Minister.
Stirring intensified in TMC after meeting CM
According to Bangabhavan sources, on seeing Ritabrata, Shubhendu Adhikari called him MLA Saheb. After this there was laughter and joking between the two. Shubhendu told Ritabrata that the MLA of the concerned area was being called for the state government program. If Ritabrata joins the government programs in his area (Uluberia East), it will be a positive message.
Will Ritabrata participate in the state government program? He said, “I am loyal to the party. I will do whatever the party asks. If I am asked to go to a government program, I will go, otherwise I will not go.” After this he said, “As a human being, I feel that this attitude of the Chief Minister is positive and beneficial. It should be like this.”
After the assembly elections, Ritabrata has raised his voice regarding the ‘decision’ of leadership in Trinamool Congress. After his meeting with the Chief Minister, there was an uproar in the Trinamool Congress and speculations have intensified.
