According to Mehr News Agency, Iran has sold oil worth 3 billion dollars i.e. 333 billion rupees within 15 days. Iran has sold its oil in Chinese currency, so that it does not have to depend on America in the future.
According to the report, Iran is currently selling the oils which are already uploaded in the tanker. Iran has sold most of its oil through Kharg Island. Kharg is an important oil tanker of Iran located near Hormuz.
Iran is selling oil through middleman
News agency Reuters had done a report regarding the process of selling oil in Iran. It was claimed that Iran was selling oil through middlemen. For this, Iranian middlemen are directly contacting big oil companies of Asian countries. They are promising to provide oil to every company at $5 less.
According to the report, Iran is selling oil at $70 per barrel, whereas the price of crude oil in the international market was $76 per barrel in mid-June.
How much oil did Iran sell before?
Iran is an OPEC member country. Before the US sanctions, Iran was allowed to sell 4 million barrels of oil per day. Saudi had permission to sell 9 million barrels of oil. However, due to US sanctions, other countries except China stopped buying oil from Iran.
