After Punjab and Goa, now due to factionalism and infighting in Congress in Bihar, it has been decided to hold Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Students’ Echo’ program in Dehradun instead of Patna. According to sources, earlier this program was to be held in Patna, but recently in the meeting of the district heads with the state in-charge and the state president, the discord increased so much that Rahul Gandhi’s Patna program has been postponed for the time being. Instead of this, preparations are being made for the Goonj program of students in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 17th July.
Apart from Bihar, in Punjab also the fight between President Raja Wadding vs Channi-Randhawa is on the streets, to resolve which the general secretary in-charge of the state, Bhupesh Baghel is on a five-day tour of Punjab. Whereas in Goa, when Congress removed Amit Patkar and made Girish Chodankar the president, the Patkar camp expressed its displeasure. Patkar camp says that despite so much hard work, he was removed without informing him. According to sources, the Patkar camp is also planning to approach the Election Commission for the formation of a new party.
Angry leaders will meet Rahul Gandhi and present their side.
Sources say that the angry leaders of all these states want to meet Rahul Gandhi and present their stand. In such a situation, these challenges are waiting for them before the monsoon session after returning from a foreign tour, but to woo Gen Z, Rahul’s students’ Goonj program should continue with success after Kota, hence an attempt has been made to put a political curtain on the controversies by shifting it to Dehradun instead of Patna.
‘Wherever Rahul goes, Congress’s fortunes sink’
Recently, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad had given his reaction regarding Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bihar. He said that wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, Congress’s fortunes sink. He went to Bengal, to Assam, to Maharashtra, to Haryana… DMK also distanced itself from him. However, this statement of Ravi Shankar Prasad was retaliated by Bihar Congress spokesperson Dr. Snehashish Vardhan. He had said, ‘Elections are to be held in his parliamentary constituency soon. In such a situation, instead of facing questions regarding development works, he is making such statements to divert public attention from the real issues, because his political credibility is also at stake.
