
In the meeting of the Standing Committee of Parliament related to the Education Ministry, in the presence of senior officials including the Chairperson of NTA, Secretary of the Education Ministry, tough questions were raised regarding the NEET paper leak. Committee members asked – Does NTA have a shortage of staff? Was the background check of those setting the paper done? Because the paper was leaked through him.
In the meeting, NTA officials told that we are working on in-house mechanism. So that one does not have to depend on outside agencies. Besides, it was also told by NTA that they are working towards computer based examination. So that the paper does not leak and pen/paper is not used. The committee members suggested making two-three sets of papers and conducting the paper in two-three shifts.
Discussion on improvement in examination system and progress of investigation
Let us tell you that in the ongoing Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting regarding the NEET-UG paper leak issue, the improvement in the examination system and the progress of investigation is being discussed. The meeting is being presided over by the committee’s chairman, Congress leader Digvijay Singh. The committee is reviewing the status of investigation into the alleged paper leak case of NEET-UG examination which was canceled on May 3.

The status of implementation of the recommendations of K Radhakrishnan Committee by the Education Ministry and NTA will also be discussed in the meeting.
