BJP has changed its candidate for the by-election on Bankipur assembly seat. Earlier Abhishek Kumar Bunty was declared as his candidate. Abhishek had also filed his nomination. After the nomination, all the big leaders of Bihar BJP including the Chief Minister gathered on one stage and garlanded Abhishek. But, just 24 hours after the nomination, Abhishek withdrew his nomination citing family reasons. Now the question arises, has Abhishek Kumar really withdrawn his name due to family reasons or has BJP forced him to withdraw his name?
The inside news behind Abhishek Kumar’s withdrawal of nomination is that close relatives of Abhishek’s family are well-known accused in the fodder scam and the entire documents are available with Prashant Kishor through the RJD camp. Prashant Kishore was going to reveal this after the nomination date was over. The BJP camp also got wind of this.
Bihar BJP was not happy with Abhishek’s candidature
Bihar BJP was already not happy with the candidature of Abhishek Kumar. Bihar BJP Core Committee meeting was held recently. The three names selected in it were sent to the high command, while National President Nitin Naveen’s choice and close Abhishek was made the candidate. Now Bihar BJP has sent all the documents of Abhishek to Delhi.

The BJP high command was told that the issue of BJP candidate belonging to the family of fodder scam accused could prove costly in Bankipur, as this by-election is being held on the seat of the National President. Therefore, it is a question of the credibility of BJP and the national president of the party.
Bihar BJP got opportunity due to PK preparation
Bihar BJP Core Committee was already embittered by Abhishek’s candidature. Prashant Kishor’s preparation gave him a chance and the candidate was changed in time. Now BJP candidate will be Neeraj Singha. Neeraj is also a common worker of BJP. BJP is fighting for the credibility of its party and the national president in Bankipur. Whereas the incident of change of candidate has definitely dealt a small blow to his credibility.
