Dhamaal 4 Review: It is said that laughter is the best medicine for health, and when work pressure and daily stress in life become too much, then headless comedy becomes the biggest support. Director Indra Kumar’s ‘Dhamaal 4’ has hit the theaters with this ‘no-logic, full entertainment’ formula. After a long wait of seven years, this film has been released in theaters on 10 July 2026. In simple words, this film has not come to give any serious message, but has come to make your weekend on the basis of its comic timing and cult characters.
But even after seven years, are those strange antics of primitive man able to make people laugh? This time, will this story woven without logic be able to recover the money of the audience? Read the full review to know!
Story
This time the story is related to a strange history centuries old. About a hundred years ago, a dreaded pirate named ‘Shaitan Singh’ hid a treasure worth billions on an island. In today’s times, only Prithvi Deshpande (Upendra Limaye) has the map to reach this treasure. Now enters the bandit ‘Adhoora’ (Ravi Kishan), who steals the map from Prithvi, but due to his bad luck the map disappears. Now our Guddu (Ajay Devgan) enters this race for the treasure, who reaches the pirate Adhoora’s ship to save the earth, but his real objective is to get hold of that treasure.
Just what then! After this, there is such an upheaval in the story that along with Guddu and his partner Johnny (Sanjay Mishra), our old platoon i.e. Adi and Manav (Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey), Rosie (Sanjeeda Shaikh), and Lallan-Paro (Ritesh Deshmukh and Anjali Anand) also jump into this deadly but hilarious treasure hunt. Now, to know whether these madmen find treasure or just poverty amidst the snakes, scorpions, crocodiles and octopuses on this island, you will have to go to the theater and watch ‘Dhamal 4’.
How is the movie?
Indra Kumar knows what the fans of ‘Dhamaal’ come to the theater to see. Therefore, he has mixed the first half of the film with such strong entertainment, action and romance that you do not get a chance to move from your seat. In the film, funny ‘memes and meta references’ of some old Bollywood films have been given, which will be liked very much by today’s reels watching generation. Apart from this, the makers have also made the audience emotional by reminding them of some scenes from old films.
But, the real problem comes after the interval i.e. in the second half. When the film moves towards its climax, the pace seems to slow down a bit, although after some time the film returns to its normal pace. Being a comedy film, it is not a big deal to have very loud and over-the-top scenes at some places, like Ajay Devgan’s confrontation with a tiger alone or the sudden emergence of an octopus in a primitive man’s boat from the sea in the middle of a storm, all these things are difficult to digest, but very funny. In the last part, an attempt has been made to introduce forced melodrama and emotional twist between Lallan and Paro, which could have been avoided.
direction
This time, while making a film, director Indra Kumar has put every spice of the world in his mixer grinder. In this one movie, you will get slapstick comedy, treasure hunt, pirates, ghostly angle (horror) and also the entire Discovery Channel platoon of snakes, scorpions, crocodiles, lions and octopuses. As a director, his visual style is loud and colourful, which looks very entertaining on the big screen of the theatre. However, he could have made the haunted mansion scene a little scarier or better, where his direction seemed a bit lackluster. But overall, he has kept the original flavor of the franchise i.e. ‘Dhamaal’ completely alive.

acting
Talking about acting, Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey (Adi-Manav) are the real soul of this franchise. Whenever Arshad Warsi and Javed Jaffrey come together on screen, it is sure to be a blast in the theatre. That viciousness of Adi and that innocent madness of Manav seems as fresh even today as it did years ago. This time Sanjeeda Sheikh is also associated with him, who has done a very good job.
Whenever the pairing of Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Mishra (Guddu-Johnny) comes on screen, amazing raita spreads. The comic timing of both is so perfect that even simple dialogues bring laughter. Especially in one scene when Esha Gupta’s children play a terrible prank on both of them, that scene is one of the funniest scenes of the film.
Talking about Riteish Deshmukh and Anjali Anand (Lallan-Paro), this time both of them have played the best characters written in the film. Ritesh has done an amazing job in the role of Lallan. He always does amazing comedy, but the way he changes gears in the emotional scenes during the climax is really praiseworthy and wins hearts.
The new and strange energy that Ravi Kishan has injected into the role of dacoit Adhoora is amazing. His desi style of speaking dialogues adds a new twist to the film. Apart from these, Upendra Limaye and Vijay Patkar have also done the work of spoiling the gathering in small roles.

film music
Talking about the music of the film, the new Hindi versions of Marathi songs ‘Gulabi Saree’ and Bhojpuri ‘Chutni’, which created a stir on social media, have been used at the right time and in the best way. Especially the new version of ‘Gulaabi Saree’ filmed on Riteish Deshmukh and Anjali Anand is so spectacular and catchy that it keeps resonating in your mind even after leaving the theatre.
See it or not?
Loose Ghosting Angle: The ghost (horror) scene included in the film neither scares properly nor makes one laugh at that level, it could have been a little better.
Melodrama of climax: In the last 20 minutes, the film tries to be overly emotional, which dulls the fun of such a logic-less comedy film.
If you are going to watch ‘Dhamal 4’, then keep your logic and brain glasses locked in the cupboard of the house. This film has not come to win any Oscar or to improve the society, it has come only to remove the mental stress of your entire week. The first half of the film will make you laugh out loud, even if the second half seems a bit drawn out. But the pairing of Adi-Manav and the swag of Ritesh-Ajay make this ride completely worth the money.
