
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Sardar T.S. Following Sandhu’s regular review and his instructions, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has resolved the long pending files of land allotment for many projects related to public interest. Due to lack of coordination between different departments, these files were stuck for a long time, due to which many development projects were stalled, but now the Lieutenant Governor has cleared the way for taking the projects forward by streamlining these processes.
Officials say that after this initiative, the way has been cleared for allotment of land for many important projects related to public interest and basic facilities in the capital. He says that since assuming charge, the Lieutenant Governor has been continuously emphasizing that all the concerned departments should work in coordination, so that there is no delay in the development works and the projects are completed on time.
According to officials, DDA has allotted land for many important projects related to public interest. Under this, community buildings have been made available for setting up sub-registrar offices in Dwarka Sector-19 and Mangalapuri. Apart from this, 112 NOCs have been issued for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and 5 NOCs have been issued for Atal Canteens.
8.5 hectare land for eco management park
At the same time, keeping in mind environmental protection, 8.5 hectares of land has been given for E-Waste Eco Management Park in Holambi Kalan, while 10 acres of land has been handed over to the Municipal Corporation (MCD) for the expansion of waste-to-energy and bio-methanation projects in Ghazipur and 10.4 acres of additional land has also been allotted.
Land allotted for construction of new police stations
Not only this, to strengthen the security system, land has also been given for the construction of new police stations in Dilkusha Bagh, Sagarpur, Suyurpur and Kishangarh. Apart from this, land has also been allotted to build Forensic Science Lab in Narela, Intelligence Bureau (IB) offices in Dhirpur and Tahirpur and residences for judiciary employees in Rohini and Shahdara.
20 hectares of land to build metro depot
At the same time, 20 hectares of land has been given to Delhi Metro (DMRC) to build a metro depot in Sanoth, while 16 hectares of land has been provided to build a casting yard in Narela. Apart from this, MCD has been allotted land to build 24 fixed compactor transfer stations, while Delhi Jal Board has also got land for several projects. Land has been given to build sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations at a total of 8 places. Besides, approval has also been given to build 151 new borewells.
