Actually, recently the trailer of Amit Jani’s film named Black Deer: The Battle for Legacy has been released. The style and appearance of the person playing the lead actor in this trailer looks similar to Salman. After the release of the trailer, Salman Khan approached the Delhi High Court regarding this film and demanded a ban on this film. Now after listening to Salman’s demands, the court has issued a notice.

The vacation bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna issued notice on the application for interim stay against the release of the film. This application has been filed by actor Salman Khan to protect his personality rights. Now the next hearing of this case will be held in Delhi High Court on June 19.
During the hearing on June 12, 2026, lawyer Nizam Pasha, appearing for Salman Khan, said that on May 29, a poster of that film was released in which there was a person whose appearance and style looked similar to Salman. He mentioned the earlier order of the High Court protecting the personality rights of the actor. Pasha said that an attempt is being made to make a film by misusing Salman Khan’s personality rights which should be stopped from release. A film is being made by misusing his personality rights. Salman’s name is branded every day in the press which is not right and should be stopped as soon as possible.

Violation of Salman Khan’s personality rights?
In fact, Salman Khan has alleged that this film illegally misuses his personality rights and shows the incidents related to him in a wrong manner. According to the petition, the film is said to be inspired by Salman Khan’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case and his alleged rivalry with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Salman says that he has been clearly portrayed in the promotional material released by the makers, in which a lookalike has been shown wearing his iconic blue bracelet.
The petition further alleges that a poster has shown a look-alike holding a rifle or a gun, creating a misleading narrative contrary to the judicial record. According to the petition, after the acquittal in the proceedings under the Arms Act, such portrayal is especially objectionable and can mislead the public about the real events. Now it remains to be seen what stance the court takes on this on June 19.
