
Gymkhana, one of the elite clubs of Delhi, is now going to be closed. The central government has asked the club to vacate the campus by June 5. According to the government, the club’s land is about 27.3 acres. There is also controversy on this matter. The club has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court challenging this order of the government.
In an official message sent to its members, Gymkhana Club has said that the Central Government has ordered to vacate its campus located in Lutyens Delhi to strengthen the defense structure and ensure public safety. front desk
First let’s talk about the front desk where there are five lobbies and a ballroom, which are open to the club members and their guests. Along with this, trained staff are present at the help desk from 7 am to 11 pm to take care of the needs of the guests.
Restaurant and Bar
Gymkhana Club offers an elite experience to its guests with its restaurants and bars. The club also has three bars, two restaurants, a dining hall, Blue Tokoi Coffee Rockers, Kashmir Lawn, an in-house kitchen. In these restaurants all types of food are served to the club members and guests. There is also a bar in the club which is available from 11 am to 2 pm and from 7 pm to 10:30 pm.
Sports
The club also has many facilities for sports lovers. Facilities like tennis, badminton, squash, billiards, snooker and swimming are also available here. Apart from this, modern gym and fitness center is also here. Where cardio and weight training facilities are provided. Many people come here for fitness training.
party venue
The club also has venues for small and big parties and gatherings. From executive boardroom to ballroom, conference space, banquet hall and party lawn, everything is available as per the requirement of weddings, corporate meetings, parties, conferences etc.
library
The club’s library is as old as the club itself. There are about 35000 books in the library. Every year about 1100-1200 new books are brought to the library. Besides, 24 Indian magazines, 12 foreign magazines and 15 news papers are made available to the club members in the library. The club’s library is completely computerized. The library has an adult reading room, a children’s room and a cyber centre.
accommodation
Accommodation facilities are also an important part of the club. Rooms are available for visiting members and their guests. There are 40 rooms in the club. Booking for these rooms has to be done 15 days in advance by making advance payment. Guests are not provided with food inside the room and have to go to the dining hall to eat.

Health and Beauty
Health and beauty facilities are also provided in the club. Facilities like professional barber facilities, beauty parlor, massage parlor and playing area for children are also provided.

Established on 3 July 1913
Delhi Gymkhana Club was established on 3 July 1913 with the name of Imperial Delhi Gymkhana Club. At that time it was made especially for British officers and military officers. After independence, the word Imperial was removed from its name. Most of the existing club buildings were built in the 1930s. Even today it is counted among the most prestigious social institutions of the capital Delhi and has its own distinct identity.
