The situation went out of control on Monday during the Sansad Chalo march called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) with the demand of paper leak and resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. During this period violence also broke out. Along with the protesters, many police and security forces personnel have been injured. Delhi Police has registered an FIR regarding this violence.
Yesterday, during the march taken out by CJP in the capital, sporadic incidents of violence took place at some places including Connaught Place and after this Delhi Police registered an FIR in Connaught Place police station. This FIR has been registered in the case of rioting and vandalism of vehicles in Connaught Place. Police registered FIR against unknown people.
On Monday, the protesters vandalized police vehicles near Regal Cinema in the Outer Circle of Connaught Place and also pelted stones at the police team.
During the demonstration in Delhi, the protesters turned violent due to which the situation quickly went out of control. More than 118 personnel of Delhi Police and Central Police forces have been injured in the incident. These injured also include senior officers of the rank of Special Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, who were handling law and order at the spot.
However, about 60 protesters were also injured in the retaliatory action taken by the police. Now Delhi Police is busy identifying the miscreants on the basis of video footage and CCTV. The first FIR has also been registered in Connaught Place police station regarding the incident.
