Cyber ​​attack on Tata’s system, important files of Apple and Tesla leaked

A major cyber attack incident has come to light, Tata Electronics has confirmed that the company has suffered a data breach. Some important files stolen from the company’s system were seen on a hacker forum, after which a confirmation has come from the company. According to the forum listing, more than 630GB of data has reportedly been leaked from Tata Electronics. It is also said that more than 204,300 files are included in this leak.

Important files of Apple-Tesla leaked

A sample of the files seen by TechCrunch included information related to Apple’s suppliers and Tesla’s manufacturing documents. For those who do not know, let us tell them that Tata Electronics is an Indian electronics and semiconductor manufacturer. It is also an important supplier for big global companies like Apple and Tesla. The company was started in 2020 and has grown rapidly with its efforts to become a major hub of electronics manufacturing in India. The company runs its facilities across India.

Confirming the incident to TechCrunch, a Tata Electronics spokesperson said that the company had found a cyber security issue on some of its systems a few weeks ago. The company also said that the incident had no impact on our operations across all businesses. Tata Electronics did not disclose what kind of data was accessed. It was also not known how many people or companies were affected. Also not confirmed whether customer data, including information related to Apple or Tesla, was part of the leak?

Ransom was demanded from Tata Electronics

Reuters reported that Tata Electronics had informed some employees of its iPhone assembly operation about this data leak last week. The report also says that Apple is investigating this matter. According to reports, ransom was demanded from Tata Electronics.
