Cure in the swimming pool! Commonwealth Games athletes in Ahmedabad are recovering from hydrotherapy.

Generally we are told that swimming is considered a very good exercise, due to which every part of the body can be exercised properly. Do you know that your body can also be treated through swimming? As part of the infrastructure being developed in Ahmedabad for the preparation of the Commonwealth Games, a Hydrotherapy School has also been constructed. Vijay Bharat Foundation where saplings of players are being prepared. A similar moment has been prepared there for the upcoming international events.

In a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsh, Dr. Hardik Patel said that audio therapy is very helpful for players in recovery and removing muscle strain.

The warm and lukewarm water of the pool gives relaxation

They said that hydrotherapy pool (Aquatic therapy pools) are specially designed therapeutic pools. Generally their temperature is controlled between \(33^{\circ }\)C to \(36^{\circ }\)C. Using the buoyancy and warmth of water helps heal joint pain, muscle stiffness and physical injuries.

Dr. Hardik told that hot water relaxes the muscles and increases blood circulation, which reduces pain rapidly. Low-impact exercise: The buoyancy of water makes the body’s weight feel less, making it easier to exercise without putting pressure on the joints. Water resistance is effective in strengthening muscles and improving balance.

Recovery happens quickly

Dr. Hardik told that this therapy is extremely beneficial for recovery after surgery, arthritis, fibromyalgia and neurological problems. These are equipped with special water jets, underwater treadmills, ramps and hoists (stairs or lifts) which help the patients.
