
Amidst the ongoing protests in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK), protesters have appealed to the people of India and Jammu and Kashmir for help. The protesters allege that the Pakistan Army has stopped the supply of food items and essential medicines in many areas to suppress the movement, due to which common citizens are facing serious difficulties.
Protestors say that due to continuous restrictions and administrative action, people are facing a crisis of food, medicines and other essential commodities. They claim that the situation is deteriorating rapidly and humanitarian assistance is needed. In the appeal issued by the protesters, cooperation has been sought on humanitarian grounds from the Government of India and the people of Jammu and Kashmir of India. He says that in the current circumstances, the voice of the people of PoJK should be raised at the international level.
Crowd gathered in Rawalkot
A crowd gathered during the speech of Advocate Mehra Khwaja in Rawalakot. He criticized the Pakistani Army for brutally killing innocent civilians and appealed to the people across the world to raise their voice against the actions of Pakistan. Addressing a large crowd in a video, Khawaja said that there is no law which gives the army the right to kill anyone. Criticizing the leadership, he said that he should step down because he does not have the ability to conduct meaningful talks.
Khawaja also appealed to the Kashmiri people living in the United Kingdom to hold a big protest on July 5 so that the attention of the international community can be drawn towards Pakistan’s actions. He expressed grief over the loss of life and property and said that the hands of those who committed crimes are stained with blood. He said that all Kashmiris should raise their voice.” In his speech, he attacked Pakistan for misusing the resources of the region and now instead of listening to their complaints, it is killing its own people.
