
Maharashtra politics has heated up over the alleged controversial statement of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Dina Patil. Thackeray faction has filed a complaint against him at Dombivali police station. At the same time, there is resentment regarding his statement within the journalists’ organization, opposition party and Mahayuti. According to sources, this issue has also been discussed between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Actually, Kalyan Lok Sabha District President Abhijeet Sawant of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction has lodged a written complaint at Dombivali police station. It has been alleged in the complaint that MP Sanjay Patil used language like ‘bombing’ in his statement. The Thackeray faction has demanded that this statement be seriously investigated and it should be found out under what circumstances such a thing was said by a public representative. It has also been said in the complaint that if any bomb has been mentioned then it should be investigated.
The alleged claims should be investigated
It has been alleged in the complaint that Sanjay Patil had mentioned five murders. The Thackeray faction has demanded that these alleged claims should also be investigated and it should be clarified what are the facts in the related cases. Along with this, the Thackeray faction has also expressed strong protest against the language and threatening statements allegedly used against the journalists.
Meeting held between CM and Deputy CM
According to sources, a meeting was held between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde regarding this entire controversy. It is being told that both the leaders have taken Sanjay Patil’s statement seriously. Both the leaders believe that such statements can harm the image of the Grand Alliance government and the alliance. For this reason, it has been agreed to give them strong advice.
‘Sanjay Patil should apologize publicly’
On the other hand, the Ministry and Legislature Vartahar Sangh have also strongly condemned Sanjay Patil’s statement. The union said that the language allegedly used against the journalists is objectionable, derogatory and against democratic values. The union has demanded that the MP publicly apologize to the journalists. If he does not apologize then the party leadership should take action against him. The organization has also demanded intervention from Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the matter.
Protest against Sanjay Patil
The effect of this dispute is now visible in other districts of the state also. In Hingoli, workers of Uddhav Thackeray group demonstrated against Sanjay Patil. The workers protested by hitting their shoes with shoes and raised slogans in support of the journalists. Thackeray faction’s district chief Sandesh Deshmukh said that the honor of journalists will not be compromised and his party will stand firmly with the journalists.
