The land of Iran was shaken by explosions for the third consecutive night. Gunpowder has rained on Iran’s nuclear power plants, naval bases and coastal areas overnight and satellite photos are testifying to this. In the last two days, records of attacks on 170 targets have come to light, but America says that it has not carried out any new attacks. In such a situation, the question arises that if not America, then who is the invisible attacker terrorizing the land of Iran? Is this a new move by Washington like ‘Strike and Pause’ or has Israel started its biggest operation behind the scenes to destroy Iran’s nuclear plans?
Iran’s only nuclear power plant is located in Bushehr, Iran. Iran has claimed that an American projectile fell near the military base here. At the same time, Iran has an important naval base in Konarak, situated on the banks of the Gulf of Oman. According to Iran’s government media agency IRNA, the naval facilities here have also been targeted in the enemy attack. Apart from this, two consecutive explosions took place at IRGC’s Choghadak base near Bushehr. The air defense system was also activated here, but the exact reason for the blasts has not been clear yet.
The attack raised questions
Actually, this attack was very precise. This is why this attack has raised new questions that if the target was already decided, did the attacker have ground intelligence? Had someone identified the target in advance or was this an operation carried out after long surveillance, in which only structures of strategic importance were targeted?
Israeli intelligence operation or something else?
The first suspicion being raised about these attacks on Iran is that this is Israel’s intelligence operation, because America is denying the attack. The question arose whether this could be a secret operation of Mossad, in which an attempt was made to target the spent fuel of Bushehr, so that Iran’s nuclear fuel could be destroyed. Apart from this, the second suspicion is of some secret operation in the Gulf region. However, till now this entire incident remains mysterious.
Backchannel diplomacy active between America and Iran
However, even after the direct air strikes for the last three days, the doors of diplomacy have not been completely closed. Behind the scenes, backchannel diplomacy is active between America and Iran. Washington does not want to break this last thread of negotiations under any circumstances and this could be the biggest reason why the US Army, despite carrying out the attack, has maintained a diplomatic distance from taking responsibility for this latest strike, so that Tehran cannot step back from the negotiating table.
The attack was 15 times bigger than the attacks in June.
On the other hand, latest reports from The New York Times and Axios show that the interim agreement between America and Iran has now reached its most difficult phase. According to US military officials, about 170 strategic targets inside Iran were attacked on Tuesday and Wednesday and this operation is about 15 times larger than the attacks in late June. It is being said that there could be a big diplomatic double game of America behind this entire incident, which is very important to understand.
