There was a time when Congress ruled Tamil Nadu, but time passed and Dravidian politics became dominant in the politics here. The effect was that Congress moved away from power. It’s been 60 years, but there doesn’t seem to be any remote possibility of him returning to power. Although the party was in coalition government with DMK for a long time, it did not get a place in the cabinet. Now Congress is going to get a share in power with 2 ministers in the new government of the state.
The Congress party is going to join the Tamil Nadu government led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Thursday. In such a situation, for the first time after 59 years, Congress is becoming a part of any alliance in this southern state. Congress, which left ally DMK after the elections and joined actor Vijay’s TVK, is getting full respect in this government.
