
Senior Congress leader and MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa met Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday, giving rise to new political speculations. In fact, this meeting took place just a day after the Congress announced a major organizational reshuffle in Punjab before the assembly elections to be held next year, due to which there was a stir in the Congress. In such a situation he had to give clarification. He said in a statement that he met Amit Shah regarding the issue of gangsters, who are in fear in Gurdaspur and surrounding areas. He said that I have come with a letter asking the government to take action against him.

Regarding the rift between former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and party president Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding, he said that Channi will answer to Channi. He said that there will definitely be loss, even after so many meetings this situation has arisen. It is not right that Congress leaders and workers are not satisfied even after holding so many meetings.
Ashok Gehlot supported Randhawa
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot also supported Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and said that his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah was natural over security concerns. In a post on social media platform
He said that in such circumstances it is the moral and constitutional responsibility of the government to ensure their safety. If he meets the Union Home Minister on this serious matter, it is extremely regrettable and unfair to unnecessarily politicize or misinterpret a normal and necessary process.
Major reshuffle in Punjab Congress
In fact, in the major reshuffle that has taken place in Punjab Congress, Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding remained as the President of Punjab Congress and Pratap Singh Bajwa remained as the Leader of Opposition, while Sukhjinder Randhawa has been appointed as the Chairman of the Core Committee of the party. The party leadership has presented these changes as part of its strategy for the 2027 assembly elections, but many leaders have privately expressed dissatisfaction over these appointments and the manner in which they were made.
