Ram Temple Donation Case: As the investigation in the Ram Temple offering theft case is progressing, new layers of conspiracy are being revealed. The investigation so far has revealed that manipulation of offerings worth crores of rupees was not possible only on the basis of enumerators. In the investigation by police and SIT, the role of two bank employees has also been found not suspicious but active. Investigating agencies believe that without the connivance of bank employees, theft of donations and manipulation of records was not possible for a long time.
During the calculation of donations, contract workers were deployed by the bank, while the responsibility of monitoring the entire process rested with two employees of the bank – Ratnesh Chaturvedi and Gagandeep. Both were present at every stage, from calculation till the amount was deposited in the bank. According to police sources, the investigation has found strong evidence of the involvement of both of them and preparations are underway to take immediate action against them.
First they would make a circle, then they would steal the offerings.
Investigation has revealed that during counting, the accused used to circle around their associates in front of the camera and withdraw cash. If one could not withdraw the amount on the spot, then four to five lakh rupees less would be recorded in the calculation register and the same amount would be withdrawn later while depositing it in the bank. The role of bank employees is said to be important in this entire process.
According to sources, the investigating agencies are also probing the role of a senior bank official. Officials believe that without the knowledge and cooperation of the employees responsible for monitoring, it would not have been possible for manipulation of offerings to continue in such an organized manner for a long time. In such a situation, there is a possibility of more arrests in this case in the coming days.
