
Making a name in Bollywood is not easy for anyone, because there is a lot of competition in this industry. Vikrant Massey’s journey has also not been easy. Before becoming a successful actor, he struggled a lot and even started working at the age of 16 to pay for his education and support his family. He says that responsibilities became the inspiration for him to become independent in life. During the event, the actor recalled the old days of cleaning tables at a coffee shop in Mumbai.
The actor comes from a middle class family. He started working at an early age, but also bought his first house at the age of just 24. In adolescence, the task of cleaning the table and telling this among friends was not easy. Now the actor still feels his journey like a house of cards, how he used to struggle to pay the college fees and today sees the brochures of many big schools for his son’s excellent education.
Started work at the age of 16
In the conversation, Vikrant Massey talked about his early years and his inspiration to become financially independent. The actor says, “I started working at the age of 16 and no sane 16-year-old boy would go out of the comfort of his home to earn money or maybe take up a job or clean tables in a coffee shop”.
Talking further, he said, “One of the reasons for doing this was that I had to bear the expenses of my education. Along with this, I also had to support the family financially, but I am happy and I am very grateful that my life took that turn, otherwise I would not have been what I am today.”
fulfilled mother’s dream
Vikrant Massey says, “Stability was very important for us, because I come from a normal middle class family. When I bought my first small house at the age of 24, I fulfilled one condition from my mother’s wish list that, ‘Whatever happens, at least you will have a house to come back to.’
Was shy to tell friends
The actor also admitted in the conversation that yes, during his teenage years he was often shy to tell his friends that he went to work. The actor says, “Whenever I would come out of the house, I would see my friends playing in the field, and they would ask, ‘Where are you going?’ So I would say, ‘I am going somewhere’. When they asked me to play cricket or football, I really had no answer, because at that age you feel ashamed to tell your friends or the world that you are going out to earn money because you have to take care of your family.”

Actor Vikrant Massey won a lot of applause for his brilliant acting in the role of Bablu Pandit in Mirzapural, while he has also appeared in web series like ‘Criminal Justice’ and ‘Broken But Beautiful’, ‘Rise’. The actor’s film 12th Fail was very much liked and he also received the National Award for Best Actor for the role of Manoj Kumar in this film. Apart from this, Vikrant Massey has shown his strong acting in many films including ‘Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Da Sabarmati Report’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, ‘Chhapaak’, ‘Lootera’, ‘Love Hostel’.
