Former Treasurer of Trinamool Congress and Former minister Arup Biswas has written a letter to the bank manager of ADFC demanding freezing of TMC’s bank account. In the letter sent to the bank on June 12, Arup Biswas had described himself as the treasurer of Trinamool. There was mention of division in the parliamentary and legislative parties in the letter. There has also been a confusion regarding who will keep the party’s funds and citing that, he has requested to freeze the account, so that the party’s account can remain safe in this situation.
However, according to sources, bank officials are not accepting Arup Biswas’s letter, because Subhashish Chakraborty has been arrested from June 5. Trinamool Has been given the responsibility of treasurer.
Earlier, when a meeting was held in Kalighat. According to sources, an argument like situation had arisen with Arup Biswas. Secondly, it has also come to light that whenever Arup Biswas was being called, he was not going to Kalighat.
Arup Biswas wrote a letter to the bank
Many allegations were made against Arup Biswas including financial transactions in the Massey case, and questions were being raised on Arup even within the party. It is said that he could not give a correct answer to the party. Speculations started increasing in Kalighat that Arup Biswas was in contact with Ritabrata Banerjee.
Arup was also called and interrogated, but no response was received from him either. After that the party took the responsibility of treasurer from Arup Biswas and gave it to Subhashish.
Arup Biswas had sent a letter to the bank on June 12. Meanwhile, he was avoiding police presence at Bidhannagar South Police Station at that time. His whereabouts were not known, but that letter was not accepted.
Mamta changed the treasurer

Now regarding the account, Sandipan Saha said, “Arup Biswas gave the letter. He was the treasurer. He felt that if he did not give this letter, then there could be something wrong with the account held by Trinamool.”
