
Ammonia gas leak caused panic in a factory near Peripalayam in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. Due to the gas leak, the health of many people deteriorated, due to which they were taken to the hospital where seven people undergoing treatment died. More than 10 people are in critical condition and are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of Stanley Hospital in Chennai. This incident has spread sensation in the area.
A prawn processing factory is running near Peripalayam in Tiruvallur district. Many laborers work in it. This morning, when the workers were working, ammonia gas suddenly started leaking, due to which many workers started having difficulty in breathing and their health deteriorated.

In this incident, more than 45 workers became unconscious due to ammonia gas leakage. He was immediately admitted to a private hospital in the area. It is being told that some people who have become unconscious are also bleeding from their mouth and nose. A total of 7 people have died, including 6 labourers. Some people are undergoing treatment at Stanley Hospital in Chennai.
Governor expressed grief
Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has expressed grief over this incident. A release issued by the Governor’s office said that I am deeply distressed by the tragic incident of ammonia gas leakage in the shrimp processing factory located at Kannikaipayar village near Periyapalayam in Tiruvallur district, in which many people lost their lives and many workers got injured.
