With this, Chaturmas will also begin, while this holy period will end on Friday, November 20, on Devuthani Ekadashi of Kartik Shukla Paksha. That means Lord Vishnu will rest for 119 days.
During Chaturmas comes the months of Shravan, Bhadrapada, Ashwin and Kartik. All these months are very important from religious point of view. During this period, special and holy fast festivals like Sawan, Rakshabandhan, Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Pitru Paksha, Sharadiya Navratri and Diwali are observed.
Auspicious work will start again from Devuthani Ekadashi
