Last week was very dull for the investors as well as the top companies of the country in terms of stock market. The market cap of 7 out of the top 10 companies of the country suffered huge losses. According to the report, the combined market cap of these 7 big companies lost Rs 1.54 lakh crore. The special thing is that the country’s largest company Reliance Industries suffered the most loss. Apart from this, names of HDFC Bank and TCS were also included in this list.

According to experts, even after the 11 percent decline in crude oil prices last week, stock market investors did not have the confidence that should have been there. On the other hand, continuous selling by foreign investors also continued. The impact of which was quite negative on the stock market. On the other hand, the market cap of three companies L&T, LIC and SBI has seen an increase of Rs 40,402.42 crore. Status of market cap of country’s top companies

  1. The market value of the country’s largest company Reliance Industries declined by Rs 46,078.3 crore to Rs 17,87,039.40 crore.
  2. The value of the country’s largest private lender HDFC Bank declined by Rs 33,333.06 crore to Rs 11,46,641.84 crore.
  3. The value of the country’s largest telecom company Bharti Airtel fell by Rs 25,408.96 crore to Rs 11,14,886.53 crore.
  4. The value of the country’s largest IT company TCS fell by Rs 22,920.58 crore to Rs 8,15,480.75 crore.
  5. The market capitalization of the country’s largest FMCG company Hindustan Unilever declined by Rs 13,169.46 crore to Rs 5,04,210.54 crore.
  6. The value of the country’s largest NBFC Bajaj Finance declined by Rs 7,253.24 crore to Rs 5,63,262.33 crore.
  7. The value of ICICI Bank, the country’s second largest private lender, declined by Rs 6,311.41 crore to Rs 9,00,589.91 crore.
  8. On the other hand, the market cap of the country’s largest infra company Larsen & Toubro increased by Rs 20,608.43 crore to Rs 5,60,836.64 crore.
  9. The market cap of State Bank of India, the country’s largest government lender, increased by Rs 13,753.62 crore to Rs 8,89,831.54 crore.
  10. On the other hand, the market cap of the country’s largest insurance company LIC increased by Rs 6,040.37 crore to Rs 5,20,484.06 crore.

How much did the stock market fall last week?

Last week, which was shortened due to holidays, the BSE benchmark Sensex fell 639.61 points, or 0.84 percent, and the National Stock Exchange’s flagship index Nifty fell 171.55 points, or 0.72 percent. Reliance Industries remained the most valued domestic company, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, LIC and Hindustan Unilever.
