Chand Mera Dil Movie Review In Hindi: When Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions releases the poster of a love story, what immediately comes to mind are big cars, foreign locations, glittering clothes and ‘everything will be well’ romance. But director Vivek Soni’s film ‘Chand Mera Dil’ completely breaks this pattern.
‘moon my heartEven after the release of the teaser, trailer and songs, people were not able to understand what is the real story of this film of Ananya Pandey and Lakshya. Well, we have seen this film and let us tell you that this film is a mirror of today’s love, trust and relationships, in which there has been no adulteration or ‘sugarcoating’.

Story
The story of the film is set in Hyderabad, where two engineering students—Chandni (Ananya Pandey) and Aarav (Lakshya)—fall so deeply in love with each other that they have no cares about the world. Both are living away from their families. They haven’t even completed their studies yet, but there comes such a turn in their life (to know what that turn is, you will have to go to the theatre) that both of them go against the wishes of their parents and get married.
The twist starts from here, their dream of ‘Happily Ever After’ is shattered when the bitter truth of life starts coming to light in the very first year of marriage. On one hand there is pressure of studies, tension of placement, competition to make a career and on the other hand there is responsibilities at home. One day in this chaos, Aarav loses his temper and something happens that Chandni directly knocks the door of the court, that too for divorce! Now the question arises whether Aarav getting angry just once was such a big reason, or is there some deep secret hidden in Chandni’s past? Will these two lovers get a second chance to save their love? To know this you will have to go to the theater and watch ‘Chand Mera Dil’.

how is the movie
To put it simply, this is not a film which makes you say ‘Wow!’ I wish my life was like this. Seeing this you will say, ‘Brother, this seems to be your story or that of Sharma ji’s son next door!’ That is, despite the film’s narrative being a bit predictable, it is still refreshing. Vivek Soni has handled this subject with great maturity and seriousness.
Direction, writing and technical shortcomings
Vivek Soni has done an excellent job as both the writer and director of the film. He has created such a cocktail of beauty, drama and reality of love on screen that keeps the audience captivated till the end. The best part of the film is the ‘confrontation scene’ of the second half, a glimpse of which was also seen in the trailer. The way the tension between the two families and the couple has been captured on camera in that scene is commendable.

However, the film is not technically completely perfect. Some mistakes are so clearly visible that one can laugh a little. For example, the windows of the room are banging loudly, but there is not enough wind inside the room to blow Ananya’s scarf. That is, in some scenes the curtains are fluttering in the wind, but the actors’ hair is not moving out of its place.
But leaving aside these minor mistakes, the work on the editing table has been done well. The runtime doesn’t feel too long, so you don’t have to open your phone again and again to check the time.
acting
After playing the role of a dreaded commando in the film ‘Kill’ and then a struggling actor on OTT, Target He is seen in a completely different color in this film. Here he is not a macho hero who can single-handedly kill ten goons. Instead, he has played a very layered and emotional character. Be it small ways of expressing love or apologizing with folded hands, Lakshya has proved his versatility.

In the character of Chandni, Ananya has shown that as an actress she is improving with every film. Chandni’s character is both innocent and harsh when needed. Ananya has given a very good performance, which was the demand of her character.
Unlike the fake romance seen in Bollywood films in recent times, Lakshya and Ananya’s on-screen chemistry feels alive and genuine.
Artists like Manish Choudhary, Aastha Singh and Paresh Pahuja have done complete justice to the screen in their limited screen time. The actors seen in the roles of friends have also helped in taking the story forward.

plus points
- Excellent acting and realistic chemistry of Lakshya and Ananya Pandey.
- Vivek Soni’s careful direction and tight story.
- Sachin-Jigar’s music, especially the title track of the film

Negative points (where we fell short)
- Some viewers may find the pace of the story a little too fast.

It is raw, honest and something that any college student, working youth or any young couple around you will be able to instantly relate to. This film will leave you with a beautiful, sweet and slightly moist feeling while leaving the theatre. So if you are looking for a good, honest and no unnecessary drama film this weekend, then this film is for you.
