
Union Home Minister Amit Shah held an important meeting regarding border security. this meetingIt took place in Bikaner, Rajasthan regarding security issues related to India-Pakistan International Border (IPB). The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, District Collector of five districts bordering the border, senior officials of the state government and Superintendent of Police participated in this high level meeting.
Amit Shah The main objective of the meeting is to provide 360 degree security for the border districts of Rajasthan. A model was to be prepared in which there would be coordinated participation and responsibility of common citizens as well as state government agencies and security forces. Will be ensured.
Home Minister Amit Shah gave clear instructions in the meeting that zero tolerance policy should be adopted against illegal constructions within a radius of 15 kilometers on the international border. Shah directed to identify all such illegal constructions. After that orders were given to demolish them.
Emphasis on inter-agency coordination
In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on coordinated strategy regarding border management. In this, there was talk of better coordination between Border Security Force (BSF), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and state government agencies. The plan for effective control of infiltration, narcotics smuggling, terror financing, encroachment and other cross-border crimes was implemented.
Home Minister Amit Shah stressed on further increasing the role of District Magistrates of border districts. Describing their role as more important, he said that they should be given the additional responsibility of monitoring the legal and financial activities of banks and controlling smuggling.
In the meeting, effective action was taken against cyber crimes and emphasis was also laid on maximum use of 1930 helpline and effective implementation of three new criminal laws implemented in the country.
Crackdown on cross border crimes
The government believes that national security can be further strengthened through joint efforts of security agencies, administration and local citizens in the border areas.
Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah had held a big meeting regarding Seemanchal area of Bihar. In that meeting, instructions were given to demolish the illegal construction. Following the instructions of the Home Minister, a large number of illegal constructions have been demolished in seven districts of Seemanchal. Their number is more than 1 lakh 22 thousand.
The idea behind this is believed to be to strengthen the security of the border areas of the country. In order to curb infiltration and illegal smuggling, its impact is visible on the borders of Bihar, Gujarat, Tripura, Rajasthan and West Bengal.
