
Vivek Oberoi on Bollywood Boycott: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will soon be seen in Prabhas’s ‘Spirit’. In a recent conversation before this film, Vivek Oberoi recalled the worst phase of his career. Despite making a great debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Company’ (2002), Vivek Oberoi had to go through a lot of difficulties in 2003. After the fight with superstar Salman Khan, he stopped getting work in the industry and had to face rejections many times. During this difficult period, his friend and co-star Akshay Kumar in ‘Deewane Hue Pagal’ (2005) supported him completely. Praising Akshay Kumar, Vivek Oberoi said that he came to my house within half an hour and helped me a lot.
When Vivek Oberoi’s career was going through difficult times after the controversy with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar came forward as an angel for him. Vivek Oberoi revealed that Akshay Kumar He not only encouraged him, but also gave him many of his stage shows, which gave him a chance to regain his composure.

In an interview, Vivek said, “One day Akshay sir called me and asked, ‘Where are you?’ I told him that I was at home and was very upset. Half an hour later, he came to my house. He said that he wanted to sit and talk with me. Then he asked me what problems I was going through. After knowing everything he said, ‘Look, I can’t do anything about all these things, but I can help you in creating positive thinking. There are a lot of shows going on, I have many blockbuster songs and I am busy shooting. Therefore, due to my busy schedule, I cannot do this show, so you do this show.”

Vivek Oberoi further said, “Akshay sir told me to start doing my shows. Whatever inquiry comes to me, I will send it to you. I thought in my mind, what a big deal! Why would anyone do this for someone else? But with his help, I started going on stage again, saw the fans in the shows, saw them cheering and I felt very good and positive. I also earned money. My disappointment was that I was giving films, that Even though I was getting awards, why was I being boycotted? So, he did not say that I will stand for you, etc. He gave me an easy and practical solution.
“Who will mess up?”
The actor further said, “People used to tell me, understand man. Who will mess with me? When this happens, you cannot understand how to get out of that situation, because there is no logic in it. You have worked hard, given performance but there are some things which you cannot control. There is a lobby which is telling people that they cannot work with me.”
Talking about the work front, apart from ‘Spirit’, Vivek Oberoi will soon be seen playing the role of Vibhishana in Nitesh Tiwari’s most awaited ‘Ramayana: Part 1’. This film of Ranbir Kapoor will be released in theaters on Diwali 2026.
