
West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is his first visit to Delhi after becoming the Chief Minister. He had many programs in Delhi throughout the day on Friday. Shubhendu Adhikari met the Prime Minister in the afternoon. He handed over a photo of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee to the Prime Minister. ‘Vande Mataram’ is written on it. Apart from this, the Chief Minister of West Bengal also presented a bouquet to PM Modi. There is a possibility that cabinet expansion was discussed in this meeting. Shubhendu cabinet will be expanded soon.
Shubhendu Adhikari Had taken oath as Chief Minister on 9 May. Along with him, five more BJP MLAs took oath as ministers. Cabinet expansion is pending in Bengal. It is believed that cabinet expansion was also discussed in the meeting.
The Prime Minister was also present at his swearing-in ceremony at the Brigade Parade Ground. After that PM Modi went on a foreign tour. Subhendu met him only after he returned home. According to sources, as per the tradition of BJP, when someone from the party becomes the Chief Minister, he goes to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister. It is believed that Shubhendu met the Prime Minister in Delhi as per the same tradition.
Met BJP leaders including President
On Friday, Subhendu Adhikari met President Draupadi Murmu in Delhi. Apart from these, also met Nitin Nabin, BL Santosh. The road map was decided after meeting the party president and senior leaders of the Centre.
Later, he also met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. A few days ago, the West Bengal government had handed over the land to the Border Security Force (BSF). 27 km long land was handed over to BSF for installing barbed wire on the border. Matters related to Border or BSF come under the Union Home Ministry of Amit Shah.
However, defense of the country is also involved in this. It is believed that Subhendu Adhikari discussed the issue of handing over land to BSF with Rajnath Singh. Shubhendu Adhikari has clearly said that all those who are living illegally in West Bengal will be identified and handed over to BSF. Infiltrators will be driven out of Bengal.
Development of Bengal through central government schemes
Since taking charge of the state, Shubhendu’s government has taken several steps. The new BJP government in the state is on its way to fulfill the promises made by PM Modi during the election campaign. It is believed that Shubhendu Adhikari has also presented to the Prime Minister the account of the work done so far by the new government.
The priority of the Bengal government is to fulfill the promises of the resolution letter. The leaders of the center assured that there will be no problem of funds. All the central schemes have been implemented in Bengal. In Bengal, the schemes of the Central Government will be run in the name of the Central Government only. Ayushman Bharat scheme will be implemented. West Bengal will get money and projects under Namami Ganga Project. Agriculture sector will also get budget. Chicken Neck area will be given to NHAI. All the agendas included in BJP’s manifesto are being implemented and will be implemented.
