Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray said that CM Devendra Fadnavis was looking “helpless” in the flight because his “powers are being torn apart” due to his joining the race for the post of Prime Minister. Actually, on Friday both the leaders were traveling in the same flight from Mumbai-Nagpur. CM Fadnavis was asked a question on Thackeray’s comment, to which he replied, being a human being, I do not have wings, so who will cut my wings? But I have the blessings of 14 crore people of Maharashtra and the blessings of my seniors too. Therefore, they should not worry at all.”
He told that he was sitting in a corner in the flight. He said, “I have a habit that whenever I board a flight, I download something on my mobile. It could be a movie or a series on the OTT platform. I watch only that, from the start of the flight till the landing, I was watching the same. In such a situation, where did they see my helplessness?”
‘This is not Operation Tiger’
Uddhav Thackeray had alleged that the breakup of the party was not “Operation Tiger” run by Eknath Shinde, but “Operation Devendra” planned by the BJP leadership to undercut Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis (reduce his power). He had said that this is not Operation Tiger, it is an operation to clip Fadnavis’ wings. “This is an attempt to weed out anyone who can become a contender for the post of Prime Minister.”
He questioned the political logic of the MPs joining Eknath Shinde’s faction instead of directly merging with the BJP. Thackeray made fun of this group and called it ‘Ghulam Sena’. He said that this is a deep conspiracy within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to target the leadership of Maharashtra.
