Bihar Bank News: The journey of a Hindu family, which came to India from Bangladesh, drenched in devotion to Lord Radha-Krishna, came to a halt in Banka district of Bihar. Here faith and law were seen standing face to face. When this Bangladeshi family, which was preparing to return to their country while doing service and worship in the temples, reached Jamdaha Thakurbari, the police arrested the entire family due to lack of valid documents. The most touching and emotional moment of this incident was seen when, on the orders of the court, two innocent children were separated from their parents and sent to a children’s home, while the parents were sent to jail in judicial custody. The couple kept crying bitterly while being separated from the children.
This entire matter is of Jamdaha OP area under Katoria block of Banka district. Milton Halder, a resident of Barishal district of Bangladesh, had reached the Shri Shri 108 Patita Pavan Radha-Krishna Temple located here with his wife Jhumarani Das and two minor children. He told the temple director Vijay Rai that he is an ardent devotee of Lord Radha-Krishna and wants to stay in the temple for a few days and do service and worship.
The matter of relief was that this family made no effort to hide their identity. He himself told the temple management that he was a resident of Bangladesh. After serving the temple throughout the day, he used to spend the night in the temple premises or Dharamshala.
Gave 20 thousand rupees to broker, also served in Vrindavan
When the temple management informed the local police, the police reached the spot and interrogated the family. Investigation revealed that the family could not show any valid passport, visa or other necessary documents related to entry and residence in India. After this the police took the couple into custody.
During interrogation, the couple told that about two and a half months ago they had crossed the India-Bangladesh border illegally by paying Rs 20,000 to a broker. After crossing the border, he reached West Bengal, but did not stay there for long due to fear of being caught. After this he reached Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, where he served and worshiped Lord Radha-Krishna in many temples. While returning from Vrindavan, he reached the famous Jamdaha Thakurbari in Banka, Bihar. He said that he was going to return to Bangladesh, but before that he wanted to serve God here for a few days.
These documents were found after searching the room
When the police searched the family’s living room, apart from clothes, a mobile phone without a SIM card was found there. A photocopy of the Bangladesh National Identity Card was recovered from the woman, while the man showed a photo of the Bangladeshi passport in his mobile. However, he did not have any documents required to stay legally in India. The police have not found any other objectionable item from them.
The separation of innocent children from their parents became the most emotional moment.
As per the legal process, both the minor children were also presented in the court. On the instructions of the court, the children were sent to a children’s home, while the parents were sent to jail (judicial custody). Tears were not stopping from the eyes of the parents while being separated from their children. Those innocent children could not understand why they were being taken away from their parents.
Seeing this scene, everyone present there became emotional. Jamdaha OP police have registered a case against the couple under relevant legal sections for illegally entering and residing in India. The police is now busy searching for the broker and the entire network with the help of which this family had entered India illegally.
