
Assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year (2027). All the political parties have started preparing for the elections. The parties are busy strengthening their respective social equations. In this series, Samajwadi Party organized a Brahmin conference in Kanpur. The biggest attraction of the conference was the banner placed behind the stage, on which it was written ‘Brahmin Chala Akhilesh ke Sang’. This slogan has sparked a new discussion in political circles.
According to the information, Samajwadi Party MP from Ballia Sanatan Pandey participated in the program as the chief guest. During this, he addressed the people of Brahmin community present in large numbers. He appealed to support Samajwadi Party in the upcoming elections.
SP’s eye on Brahmin voters
Even though the Samajwadi Party is prominently promoting the slogan of PDA (Backward, Dalit and Minority) across the state, this conference held in Kanpur also indicated that the party is also working on a strategy to bring Brahmin voters, who are said to be angry with the BJP, to its side. During the conference, the speakers also mentioned various issues related to Brahmin community in the state, alleged oppression and cases registered.
Respect and security for Brahmin community
Talking to the media, MP Sanatan Pandey said that this conference has been organized in connection with the preparations for the birth anniversary program of socialist leader Janeshwar Mishra to be organized in Lucknow on August 5. He claimed that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed, the Brahmin community will be given full respect and security.
He said that Brahmins have got respect during the rule of Samajwadi Party. He said that if SP government is formed again in the state, the party workers will stand with every needy and fight for it. In the conference, the MP accused the BJP government that law and order, education system and democratic institutions have been affected in the state. He called upon the Brahmin community to unite and raise the voice of their rights.
Targeted at RSS and Champat Rai
At the same time, in response to a question asked on the case of alleged theft of offerings in Ram temple, MP Sanatan Pandey targeted Champat Rai, former general secretary of RSS and Trust, calling him a thief. He demanded a fair investigation into the matter and demanded strict action against the culprits.
SP’s election strategy
As the election contest in Uttar Pradesh is getting closer, efforts to woo various social classes also seem to be intensifying. This Brahmin conference of Kanpur is also being considered an important sign of the changing election strategy of the state.
